  1. Hey I found something online that I think might help you with your project, there's a spinoff from 28 days later called 'the rage', and the whole thing is on Youtube as well so you could download the parts and derive imagery from it

  3. CRAIG FAWELL - BLOG FEEDBACK – 12th JANUARY 2010

    PROBLEM ANALYSIS

+ Blog evidences a link between horror and suspense. Demonstrates what angle you are looking to target this from.

    - Audience may be too general. Try to narrow and focus this. It will make your choices on design elements a lot easier and more informed. Find research to back this up; something that shows a clear example of age targeting.

    CONTEXTUAL UNDERSTANDING

+ Relevant and suitable idents. Perfect start and way into looking at the genre. Ready to build upon.

    – No clips from actual films that demonstrate suspense. Would be good to see those and show they’re understood.

    RESEARCH

+ Blog shows research into multiple genres and offers a variety of approaches …

    - However, zombie specific research seems minimal. The focus is on horror and conventions of this genre. Perhaps gear your project towards this and give yourself some freedom?

    DESIGN DIRECTION

+ Typeface selection is informed and backed up by existing covers. Door sequence (as discussed in your presentation) identifies conventions within the genre and offers a way in which a resolve may be approached.

    – Overall, the direction lacks contextual links … photographic elements in specific. Look more into film stills, set photography, etc.

    ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

Could you tie in elements from spoofs such as Scary Movie? They use similar conventions just in an alternative context.
